Cheiridopsis candidissima is a small succulent plant also known as carpet weed or lobster claws. It is native to Africa and grows in sandy soil or dry river beds.

It prefers water during winter, when it flowers, and likes a hot and dry environment during summer. It is a very small plant and doesn’t get any taller than 4 inches. However, it does cover a lot of ground. Its long branches have many erect leaves that cluster closely, giving dense cover to the ground.

The leaves have a unique blue-grey color and have a triangular cross-section. Since this plant is active during the winter, its flowers bloom when the temperature starts dropping. The flowers are vividly colored, ranging from yellow to purple.

All succulents are sent bare rooted (most of the soil removed) by Express Australia Post at the start of each week. You will receive a shipping email for tracking if you provide us with your email address.
