A hardy South American bromeliad with a geometrical rosette of rigid leaves, with spiny margins, that with age form into a clump. Comes in various colours - green, silver and brown/red.
Flowers in shades of yellow, orange and red are produced on spikes to 1.5m high.
Grow in full sun or part shade. (Image is in 130cm pot)
Like all succulents it requires free draining soil and little water.
