A sturdy vine suited to climbing a trellis or cascading from a hanging pot. The waxy leaves of deep green are speckled with silver.
The star shaped flowers shown in the photo vary from white to pink, red and purple. Hoyas need to be at least 3 years old before their first bloom (in spring and summer), but as the picture shows, its worth the wait!
It is best out of direct sun but like most succulents,needs a well lit position and free draining soil. Hoyas like more frequent watering than your average succulent but make sure the soil dries out completely between waterings. NOTE: Bare stems of your hoya should not be removed as these are where the hoyas flowers bloom!
They also benefit from annual fertilisation.
