A beautiful, slow‑growing spherical cactus known for its perfectly ribbed blue‑green body and soft golden spines. As it matures, Parodia magnifica forms clusters of rounded heads, creating a striking architectural display. In summer, it produces bright yellow flowers that sit like a crown on top of each stem.
This species is hardy, easy to grow, and ideal for pots, sunny patios, and bright indoor positions across Australia. Excellent beginner-friendly cactus.
🌿 Care Tips
🌞 Light
Loves bright light and full sun. In very hot regions (QLD), provide light afternoon shade to prevent scorching.
💧 Water
Water deeply but only when the soil is completely dry. Very drought‑tolerant. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows.
🌱 Soil
Use a fast‑draining cactus mix. Add extra pumice or perlite to improve drainage and prevent rot.
All succulents are sent bare rooted (most of the soil removed) by Express Australia Post at the start of each week. You will receive a shipping email for tracking if you have provided your email address.
🌡️ Climate
Thrives in warm, dry conditions. Best kept above 8–10°C. Protect from frost and prolonged rain, especially in southern states.
🌿 Growth
Starts as a single globe and slowly forms clusters. Repot in warmer months if it outgrows its pot.
