delicate, fast‑growing sedum with soft variegation and tiny rice‑grain leaves. Sedum orizifolium variegated ‘Golden Rice’ forms a gentle trailing mat of creamy white, pale green and blush‑pink foliage that intensifies with bright light. Its fine texture and cascading habit make it perfect for hanging pots, rock gardens, borders and mixed succulent bowls.
Hardy, ornamental and beginner‑friendly — a beautiful way to add softness and movement to your collection.
🌿 Care Tips
🌞 Light
Thrives in full sun to bright light. More sun = stronger colour. In hotter regions (QLD‑like conditions), provide light afternoon shade to protect variegation and prevent leaf scorch.
💧 Water
Water when the soil is completely dry. Very drought‑tolerant. Reduce watering in winter or during extended cool periods.
🌱 Soil
Use a fast‑draining succulent or cactus mix. Add perlite or pumice to improve drainage and prevent rot, especially in humid coastal areas.
🌡️ Climate
Handles heat, sun and dry conditions extremely well. Best kept above 5–8 °C. Protect from heavy rain and frost in southern states.
🌿 Growth
Forms a spreading mat and can be trimmed to shape. Very easy to propagate — simply place a small cutting on soil and it will root.
All succulents are sent bare rooted (most of the soil removed) by Express Australia Post at the start of each week. You will receive a shipping email for tracking if you provide us with your email address.
