Stapelia variegata (Orbea variegated) commonly known as star flower because of the distinctive, five lobed flowers which are covered in reddish brown spots. The soft stems have four angles and are toothed. The soft tips can become purplish in the sun. 

A species of the Asclepiad family which is native to Southern Africa.   Ideal grown in pots on their own or in a mixed planting. 

They prefer filtered light. 

Can grow to 12cm high.
